Laser Surgery For Kihei Cats and Dogs

Laser surgery is a new innovation for pet care.  When a dog or cat has a laser surgery procedure instead of traditional blade surgeries, they experience:

  • Less pain  laser_surgery_for_kihei_cats_and_dogs
  • Less bleeding
  • Less swelling

For these reasons, laser surgery can be seen as a more humane method of doing pet operations.

The surgical laser is an instrument that uses a laser beam of focused light waves.  This beam vaporizes tissue instead of cutting it.  At the same time, it "seals" blood vessels and nerve cells.  This process is called cauterization.  Laser cauterization is one of the most effective ways of cauterizing.

At South Shore Veterinary Care in Kihei, we are proud to offer the only veterinary surgical unit on the island of Maui.

Laser surgery is especially effective for procedures such as spays, neuters, lump removals, ear surgery, nose surgery, and surgery of the mouth or gums.

His staff is so kind and always ready to support in terms of emergency! I highly recommend them all! The drive from Paia to Kihei is well worth it! Thank you for being such a great team and supporting Snoogle and Sparky in such a wonderful way , including us , as their pet family!"
